Luciana Cavallaro grew up in a small country town in Western Australia. As a child she was mischievous and adventurous and nothing has changed in her adulthood. She dreamed of travelling to Europe and visiting Italy, her ancestral home. Being first generation Australian-Italian, she is the first in her family to attain a university degree. To realise her potential and fulfil the desire for adventure Luciana moved to Perth to study teaching at university. She began writing as a cathartic exercise after a traumatic car accident. Since then she has attended writers’ workshops and is a member of various associations.
Luciana has always been interested in Mythology and Ancient History but her passion wasn’t realised until seeing the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. From then on, her inspiration to write Historical Fantasy was borne.
She is a West Australian residing in Perth. She splits her time as a secondary teacher and university supervisor of Pre-Service Teachers. She enjoys being active, going out with friends, reading a wide variety of genres and tries to grow her own vegetables.

Four of the short stories featured in Accursed Women are published as eBooks and available from Amazon, Kobo and Smashwords.
